You who remind the&nbsp;Lord, take no rest, <strong><sup>7&nbsp;<\/sup><\/strong>and give him no rest until he establishes Jerusalem and makes it renowned throughout the earth.<br><strong><sup>8&nbsp;<\/sup><\/strong>The&nbsp;Lord&nbsp;has sworn by his right hand and by his mighty arm: I will not again give your grain to be food for your enemies, and foreigners shall not drink the wine for which you have labored, <strong><sup>9&nbsp;<\/sup><\/strong>but those who harvest it shall eat it and praise the&nbsp;Lord, and those who gather it shall drink it in my holy courts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\"><strong><sup>10&nbsp;<\/sup><\/strong>Go through, go through the gates; prepare the way for the people; build up, build up the highway; clear it of stones; lift up an ensign over the peoples.<br><strong><sup>11&nbsp;<\/sup><\/strong>The&nbsp;Lord&nbsp;has proclaimed to the end of the earth: Say to daughter Zion, \u201cLook, your savior comes; his reward is with him and his recompense before him.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\"><strong><span style=\"color: #003366;\">NEW TESTAMENT EPISTLE READING - 2 Timothy 2:15-19<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\"><strong><sup>15&nbsp;<\/sup><\/strong>Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved by him, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly explaining the word of truth.&nbsp;<strong><sup>16&nbsp;<\/sup><\/strong>Avoid profane chatter, for it will lead people&nbsp;into more and more impiety,&nbsp;<strong><sup>17&nbsp;<\/sup><\/strong>and their talk will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus,&nbsp;<strong><sup>18&nbsp;<\/sup><\/strong>who have swerved from the truth, saying resurrection&nbsp;has already occurred. They are upsetting the faith of some.&nbsp;<strong><sup>19&nbsp;<\/sup><\/strong>But God\u2019s firm foundation stands, bearing this inscription: \u201cThe Lord knows those who are his,\u201d and, \u201cLet everyone who calls on the name of the Lord turn away from wickedness.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\"><strong><span style=\"color: #003366;\">GOSPEL READING - John 6:39-47<\/span><\/strong><br><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b><strong>Our Lord Jesus Christ:<\/strong><\/b><\/span> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\"><strong><sup>39&nbsp;<\/sup><\/strong>And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me but raise it up on the last day.&nbsp;<strong><sup>40&nbsp;<\/sup><\/strong>This is indeed the will of my Father, that all who see the Son and believe in him may have eternal life, and I will raise them up on the last day.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\"><strong><sup>41&nbsp;<\/sup><\/strong>Then the Jews began to complain about him because he said, \u201cI am the bread that came down from heaven.\u201d&nbsp;<strong><sup>42&nbsp;<\/sup><\/strong>They were saying, \u201cIs not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How can he now say, \u2018I have come down from heaven\u2019?\u201d&nbsp;<strong><sup>43&nbsp;<\/sup><\/strong>Jesus answered them, \u201cDo not complain among yourselves.&nbsp;<strong><sup>44&nbsp;<\/sup><\/strong>No one can come to me unless drawn by the Father who sent me, and I will raise that person up on the last day.&nbsp;<strong><sup>45&nbsp;<\/sup><\/strong>It is written in the prophets, \u2018And they shall all be taught by God.\u2019 Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me.&nbsp;<strong><sup>46&nbsp;<\/sup><\/strong>Not that anyone has seen the Father except the one who is from God; he has seen the Father.&nbsp;<strong><sup>47&nbsp;<\/sup><\/strong>Very truly, I tell you, whoever believes has eternal life.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"This page features this Sunday's scripture readings, and feast day and service information.
