Your membership MAKES A DIFFERENCE.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"il\">All\u00a0membership<\/span> dues for\u00a0the calendar year\u00a0<strong>must be received by\u00a0<span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_349814390\"><span class=\"aQJ\">December 31st<\/span><\/span><\/strong>.\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Membership<\/span> is open to all parishioners 18 years of age and older.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', 'lucida grande', 'lucida sans unicode', 'lucida sans', tahoma, sans-serif;\"><strong><span class=\"il\">MEMBERSHIP<\/span> IS A PARTNERSHIP<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Attendance is easy. \u00a0<span class=\"il\">Membership<\/span> means more.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: arial, 'helvetica neue', helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span class=\"il\">Membership<\/span> is a\u00a0partnership\u00a0- a relationship between an individual and the church. \u00a0It is\u00a0<\/span>a commitment to contribute and not just receive the benefits of the community and the vision. <span class=\"il\">Membership<\/span> is saying, \u201cYes, I believe in what the church is doing and I want to play my part in helping the church to achieve this.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Our <span class=\"il\">members<\/span> are our support system.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"il\">Membership<\/span> means :<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You are giving back because you have received.<\/li>\n<li>St. James is your spiritual home.<\/li>\n<li>You support the Church\u2019s outreach to the neediest.<\/li>\n<li>You attend our rich and diverse services and community events.<\/li>\n<li>You trust us as stewards of your time, treasure and talent.<\/li>\n<li>You value the sense of community with others<\/li>\n<li>You encourage us to reach out to more individuals and families.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Here are four good reasons to become a member:<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><b>A biblical reason<\/b>: Christ\u2019s followers live out His commission by formally joining a local body of believers. We call that process church membership.<\/li>\n<li><b>A cultural reason<\/b>: You attend our rich and diverse services and community events, and you value the sense of community with others. You support our ministry and programs, many of which are provided at no cost.<\/li>\n<li><b>A spiritual reason<\/b>: St. James is your spiritual home.\u00a0 Becoming a member enables you to maximize your spiritual growth and participation, and gives back because you have received.<\/li>\n<li><b>A practical reason<\/b>: All members are eligible to vote on major initiatives at the Parish Assembly, and hold office.\u00a0 St. James depends on members who are active, thoughtful, and engaged to help shape the future of their local church.\u00a0 Additionally, members receive special rates on sacraments, hall rentals, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><strong>How do I become a member?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Find your membership category:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 90px;\">$50\u00a0 - ages 18-24<br \/>\n$200 \u2013 ages 25-64<br \/>\n$125 \u2013 ages 65 +<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>Fill out a 2022 Membership Card, available in the church office or sanctuary. <span style=\"color: #993366;\">\u00a0<\/span><strong><span style=\"color: #993366;\">Pay your Membership Dues online! <\/span><a title=\"Support Us\" href=\"https:\/\/www.stjameswatertown.org\/test\/test\/support-us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here<\/a>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Questions?\u00a0 Don\u2019t hesitate to ask Fr.
